Gluten now reacts badly with your autoimmune system, making it attack your small intestine when you ingest anything with gluten in it. Since gluten is found primarily in wheat, rye and barley products, it may seem like you won't be able to eat any kind of bread anymore, right? Not true - all you need to do is find a few gluten free bread recipes.
Gluten-Free French Bread Recipe
French bread is typically thick on the outside and very soft on the inside. Here is what you'll need to make a great French bread using a gluten-free bread recipe:
2 cups of gluten-free flour (1 part cornstarch, 1 part tapioca, 1 part bean flour)
2 tablespoons of gluten-free flour (same as above)
2 teaspoons quick-rising yeast
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon dough enhancer
2 ½ teaspoons of xanthum gum
1 ½ cups warm water
To make this gluten-free bread recipe, you mix together the flours, xanthum gum, sugar, and yeast. Add the vinegar, egg whites and water and beat together. Once all of this is mixed, place it onto your pan and wrap plastic wrap over it for 15 minutes. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Bake the bread for an hour and then turn it down to 350 and bake another 15 minutes.
Gluten-Free Pumpkin Banana Bread Recipe
If you're looking for something sweet without wanting to come up with a gluten-free brownie recipe, then this recipe is perfect for you! You'll need:
2 cups of all-purpose gluten-free flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 ½ cup butter
¾ cup brown sugar
1 ¼ cups mashed ripe bananas
1 ¼ cups canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
To make this special gluten-free bread recipe, preheat the over to 350. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in the eggs, mashed bananas, pumpkin, spaces and vanilla. Next, stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture until it's all moist. Pour the batter into the pan and let it rest 30 minutes before baking. Bake for about an hour, and you're done!
